10 April 2018: “Soil” a living part of the ecosystem?

Dave Winner will be joining us on Tuesday evening 10 April 2018 and will be talking about soil, including soil composition, compost, fertilizers and soil testing
Dave Winner has nearly 50 years’ experience in the horticulture industry. He has been a Horticulture teacher at TAFE for 38 years. He has studied Permaculture with David Holmgren in 1992 and taught Permaculture classes for many years at Padstow. TAFE. Dave has also gained certificates in Bushland regeneration and participated in many regeneration projects. He has worked with organisations such as Mission Australia in training long term unemployed and in establishing community gardens. Dave has also provided horticulture training with Outreach Centres working with youth at risk to help them gain skills and employability.
Dave is a mine of information when it comes to soil and has agreed to come and share his vast knowledge with our group. If you have problems with your soil or just want more information on how to get it right make the most of this opportunity come along to our next meeting at Oatley Community Hall.
Entry cost is free to all financial members. Non-members $10 to be collected at the door.
