We have been attempting to live a more sustainable lifestyle in the wilds of St Clair for over 40 years on our 600m2 suburban block. I have been fooling around with mushroom kits for years (the good, the bad and the ugly) with variable results but certainly have some tips and tricks to help you get a better yield. Over the last couple of years we have been experimenting with growing oyster mushrooms from scratch and that has been an interesting and rewarding experience as well.
Nevin Sweeney will take you through
- Commercially available fresh mushrooms (types, pic, general comments and uses)
- Anatomy and lifecycle of the mushroom
- Growing using commercial kits
- Growing from scratch (oyster Mushrooms)
Due to the current Covid-19 situation in NSW this meeting will again be held by Zoom. Meeting will commence at 7 pm and the link will be sent out prior to the meeting. A recording will be made available to members following the presentation.
